Gymboree: $790 worth of clothes & Giveaway (read on)

I have been waiting a long time to do this post...
Check out the previous posts regarding Gymboree here and here.
I have also posted about The Art of Gymboree article, buy Maven of Savin, that I ran across in my search of how to work Gymboree. It takes time as does anything, but it is well worth it in my opinion. I started this back in November, Thanksgiving Day to be exact...they started their Black Friday sale online Thanksgiving Day. I enjoy the internet much more than the stores on Black Friday and if they want to offer 30% off and I can pair that with my 20% coupon and earn gymbucks (explained in article)...with FREE shipping then I am game. It is a little special thing Grandpa does that he buys them clothes for the next year on Black Friday (if I can find the deals). So from the comfort of my own home & computer I ONLY buy them stuff that is on sale already...get their special 30% Black Friday, use my 20% coupon, and then earn gymbucks on top of it all. I then went back and did another online order for a few things that went rock bottom during the 2 sales that were referenced above. Since the clothes are marked down, they are obviously the current season so I buy clothes for the following year (this year I actually had to do 2 sizes out by the time I redeemed the gymbucks)! Luckily I have 2 girls and everything gets used alot!

So this is how it all played out...
They do gymbucks twice a year (I believe)
You earn $25 gymbucks for every $50 you spend, after coupons. They are redeemable on a specified dates, usually in Jan, (for this gymbucks...the other gymbucks event is in the summertime) when the new lines come out and more items are marked clearance (good for me). I went online the day before they were to be redeemed (to plan my attack) and it said redeem your gymbucks early! So I did! When you redeem gymbucks you have to spend $50 to get the $25 off and NO coupons are allowed (I do not like this part).

How to plan for this event:
In planning for this event, I asked family members for gift cards to Gymboree for Christmas instead of toys, since they have plenty of toys and I did not want to pay out of pocket the difference of redeeming the Gymbucks. My difference I had to pay including taxes was $42.50, for $790.05 worth of clothing (including NC tax of 7.75%)! YIPEE!!!

I have (3) 20% off Gymboree coupons that I will be giving away to 3 winners on Saturday (they exp 1/31/11) so you can use them on the current sale! All you have to do is become a follower (on the right) and like us on facebook. I will choose 3 winners with random.org on Saturday at noon!
