Place ALL in a medium size bowl, whisk. Once it is mixed you are finished. Place in storage container, glass jar, etc. refrigerate. How easy was that!?
Wouldn't you know I forgot to take a picture of the finished product! I used it in the barbecue sauce or I would have taken another picture...stay tuned for that recipe....

Homemade Organic Ketchup Recipe
I couldn't wait until next Tuesday to tell you about my ketchup AND barbecue sauce making experience (that's a mouth full!!). I think I am hooked...hooked to making my own that is! I found this snazzy little recipe from Hillybilly Housewife for the ketchup. She guesses this recipe costs just cents to make! I would have to agree!! You probably have the ingredients in your own pantry and spice cabinet! Here's what you'll need:
6 ounce can tomato paste 1/4 to 1/3 cup tap water (depending on desired consistency, I used 1/3 cup) 2 tablespoons vinegar 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt (I didn't use this) 1 pinch cloves 1 pinch allspice 1 pinch cayenne pepper 1/4 cup brown sugar

How does it taste? I am a Heinz fanatic...it's one thing I'm picky about. How does the homemade kind measure up?
I tasted it right after I made it and didn't let all the flovors really set in. That little taste test was pretty good actually. I am going make more this weekend to enjoy...this batch was used in bbq sauce right after I made it. I am going to post that later! :-)
