Tasty Tuesday: Spinach, Bacon and Cheese Quiche (and pie crust recipe)

Spinach, Bacon and Cheese Quiche

Spinach, Bacon and Cheese Quiche-
Servings: 8

1 pound Bacon cooked and crumbled (I use turkey)

6 large eggs beaten

1 1/2 cups heavy cream (can use milk and tastes just fine!)

Salt and pepper

2 cups chopped fresh spinach (I'm lazy and don't chop this)

1 cup shredded cheese any kind

1 (9-inch) refrigerated pie crust fitted to a 9-inch glass pie plate (see below for recipe!)

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Combine the eggs, cream, salt and pepper in a food processor or blender. Layer the spinach, bacon and cheese in the bottom of the pie crust then pour the egg mixture on top. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until the egg mixture is set. Cut into 8 wedges.

The above is a recipe from Smithfield Menu Planner.

Quiche Crust:  (SO quick and easy, I promise!!)

1/4 cup ice water (I use refrigerated water)

Directions
Mix flour and salt with fork.

Beat oil and water with whisk or fork to thicken.

Pour into flour and mix with fork.

Press into 9" pie crust.

Fill with quiche mixture and bake at 400F until done.
