What is better than making pizza for your family. I had never made my own bread or dough before about a year ago. I never wanted to buy a bread maker ( I went to Goodwill and got one for $10)...who has time to do that? YOU DO!!! Trust me, most of you know I work full time, teach spinning classes, co-author this blog, and have a 3 year old and an 8 month old....I make bread too.
One of our readers Sara has the best dough recipe I have ever tasted. I usually double it when I make it in the bread maker and then split it in half and let it rise, then I cook 2 pizzas and have leftovers for lunches.
Sara's Pizza Crust
3/4 C water
1T oil
1/2 t salt
1T sugar
1T dry milk
2 1/4 C bread flour ( I personally use regular flour)
3/4 t yeast (1/2 packet)
Put in bread maker in this order, after a few minutes add a little water if dry or a little flour is very sticky. After dough cycle is complete, let sit for 15 mintues and then roll out to your desired consistency.
