Tasty Tuesday: Baked Beans and Coleslaw (dairy/egg free slaw)

Yes, so the beans  (below) aren't so pretty.  I started them around lunch and since it's winter of course it's dark when they finish so no lighting for a good photo.  I also changed my mind from oven to crockpot at the last minute.  So I usually don't dirty a dish just because.  Who wants more dishes? 
I never buy beans in a can, always dry.  Here's a post about them.  (I now use only glass to store our food in but who's paying attention?  Yes, I love my glass containers now!!)
